This week, our team explored the principle of emphasis and how to create a space that tells a story through intentional design choices. Just as Isaiah 28:16 says, “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation…”—in design, the focal point is like the cornerstone of a room. It anchors the space, whether it’s a bold statement piece, an architectural detail, or a perfectly framed view. At LIIV HQ, we worked together to identify key elements that will define the heart of our project home. Psalm 150:4 says, “Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; praise Him with the strings and pipe.” Just as music has rhythm, so should the spaces we live in. To bring this concept to life, we visited @crateandbarrel Lenox, where we studied how professional designers use rhythm in their layouts, furniture arrangements, and decor selections.
